Best time for photos?

Early morning - best for fewer people
  • Roughly 6:30–9:00 AM
  • Soft light
  • Much less crowded
  • Great for Bethesda Terrace, Bow Bridge, The Mall and the Lake
  • I recommend arriving before 10 AM at popular spots to avoid crowds.  
 
 Late afternoon / golden hour — best for romantic photos
  • Aim for roughly 1 hour before sunset
  • Warm, flattering light
  • Beautiful for couples and proposals
  • The downside is that popular locations are generally more crowded.
