Best time for photos?  sunrise to about 8:30 AM

  • Soft, flattering light
  • Far fewer tourists on Washington Street
  • Much easier for family/couple portraits without people in the background
  • Weekday mornings are especially good.

  • Second choice: the last 60–90 minutes before sunset
​
  • Beautiful warm light, especially around Brooklyn Bridge Park/Pebble Beach
  • Better for the Manhattan skyline and waterfront
  •  But Washington Street will be much more crowded.
